I am now a Kindergarten teacher for the academic year 2010-11. My class is located at B160. The year has gotten off to a running start and the children are working hard to learn class procedures. Thanking you in advance for your support in this effort. Please continue working on letters and numbers to 20. The children will be tested to ensure placement for optimal learning! We will be celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday in our classroom by wearing “black”. We will read his books and make “Green eggs and Ham” to commemorate the event. Please join us and be prepared to tell us your favorite Dr. Seuss book! Hope to see you there!!

The weather is extremely cold and we are requesting a warm change of clothing and warm blankets. We have not been able to go outside for recess. The temperature must be warmer than 32 degrees before recess resumes.

Welcome back!! It was great to see that everyone has returned safely and well rested. It is a new year, and we want to continue our wonderful partnership that has developed. The end of the year is here and some exciting things will be happening during the week. Our Holiday party is Thursday at 1:30 PM. Afterwhich, we will decorate cookies with our Kindergarten partners(Ms. Morrow’s class) on Friday at 11:15 AM. As always parents you are welcome to attend. Hope to see you at both events!!!

We are expecting a new student in our class effective Monday, November 30, 2009. We certainly plan to make his “new” home with us feel welcome and comfortable.
We are beginning a new theme in our class. We will be studying, “Winter Holidays and the Bakery”. We invite your help so that the unit will be a success!

Greetings, we have a busy week planned and some important information for you. Early Release day is Wednesday, November 18, 2009. Please notify us if you have a change of transportation for that day. We are also planning to go on a field trip to the Teaching Museum South on Friday, November 20, 2009. We will see a play on “Safety” and will have a chance to act with the stage crew. The class should really enjoy this event. Please be sure to ask questions after our return. Have a great evening!!
